Final Jeeps - Tara, Get Well Soon

The Jeep Series events are over again for another year. Anneke Beerten won the keys for the ladies. I finished 3rd in the event and 3rd overall in the series. I am pretty happy with that. I was pushing for a spot in the finals and a good chance at getting those keys for myself, but I flatted in my semi-finals with Anneke and had to settle for 3rd.

My thoughts right now are entirely with good friend Tara Llanes who crashed head first into the face of a jump in her semi-final heat. Tara broke her back and is presently in Denver undergoing extensive spinal surgery. Jill, Jo and myself have been at the hospital all night offering what little support we can to Tara and her family. We only just left now to pack our bikes as we leave tomorrow morning to fly to Scotland. I wish I didn't have to leave, but I know that Tara would want us to race. This one's for you T. Be strong buddy.
