Finals

Sorry I didn't post from World's DH. I GOT 5Th! I am pretty stoked with that. I has been my best DH result of the season, so that is sweet.
Just a quick one cause we have to hit the road and try to catch our ferry back, but the World Cup season is officially over! Things at this race didn't go according to plan, but I did enough to keep myself in the Top 10 in DH and to grab 4th in 4X. I'm pretty happy with that! I'll write more when I have stopped travelling and can get a good night's sleep in my own bed!

Worlds!

Congrats to World Champions Jill Kintner and Brian Lopes! They both rode extremely well to take the victory. I had a crash in the quater finals that left me out of contension for the finals. Kind of sucks, but DH is on Sunday and I am just focussing on that now. The whole event had some incredible coverage - live on BBC 2! It is great for the sport. I also heard a rumour that Mr. Nissan was in the heli watching DH training all day today. Pretty cool that the event is getting this much support. Racing the track as a British rider was pretty incredible as well. It is nice to have the support of thousands of fans screaming at you.
Until sunday.........

Final Jeeps - Tara, Get Well Soon

The Jeep Series events are over again for another year. Anneke Beerten won the keys for the ladies. I finished 3rd in the event and 3rd overall in the series. I am pretty happy with that. I was pushing for a spot in the finals and a good chance at getting those keys for myself, but I flatted in my semi-finals with Anneke and had to settle for 3rd.

My thoughts right now are entirely with good friend Tara Llanes who crashed head first into the face of a jump in her semi-final heat. Tara broke her back and is presently in Denver undergoing extensive spinal surgery. Jill, Jo and myself have been at the hospital all night offering what little support we can to Tara and her family. We only just left now to pack our bikes as we leave tomorrow morning to fly to Scotland. I wish I didn't have to leave, but I know that Tara would want us to race. This one's for you T. Be strong buddy.
