"Fionn is an extremely dynamic individual
who shines on a multitude of levels. As a person,
Fionn is positive and gregarious. She excels in
everything she puts her mind to. She fulfills tasks
to the best of her ability without cutting corners.
Her ability to do this has enabled her to get where
she is today.
I have
known Fionn now for nearly 7 years and have been
fortunate to not only ride and train with her but
to travel with her. I have watched Fee grow up and
find her feet. Over the past 3 seasons I have got
to know Fionn not only as a traveling buddy, mechanic,
competition but as a close friend and sometimes
a well needed kick up the arse!! I have seen Fionn
at her highest and lowest points. Regardless of
situation or circumstance, Fionn has remained true
to herself, to others around her and taken her achievements
and failures in her stride. She is an amazing, reliable
and trustworthy friend with an outstanding ability
to have fun and sniff out mischief. I have only
3 bad things to say about her, her feet stink, she
eats too much Haribo and she can be stubborn as
a rock, which sometimes isn't a bad thing!!?!!
You can learn a lot from Fee through her riding. Watch her carefully though berms and technical sections -
she thoughtfully channels her aggression all the way down the course and uses her strength in places most
girls would crumble. I could reel off a list of adjectives as long as my arm, but Fionn's ability to ride
fast comes from her genuine passion and love for her riding. Winning is the goal in Fionn's book but not
the only motivator. If Fionn wins, she will win with style. She is one of the few riders who only
takes true credit for a win if her competitors haven't lost due to misfortune, she is a fair rider.
Fee is an athlete who trains at 110% harder than the rest, she is a multi-skilled rider with hidden
talents in almost every cycling discipline. Many riders envy her ability, but that's just a waste
of time, watch and learn!!
She is a credit to herself, everyone in contact
with her and an excellent ambassador for the Sport
of Downhill Mountain Biking.
